Layan sits on Phuket's northwest coast, between Sirinat National Park and Layan Beach. The national park keeps the land around it green, and almost all of the beachfront is already built or sold, so beach plots rarely come up.

Most homes for sale here are pool villas, from hillside houses with sea views to homes a short walk from the beach, with a smaller number of condominiums. Laguna Phuket, Boat Avenue, Porto de Phuket and several international schools are a short drive away. Buyers are mostly international: families relocating, retirees, and owners who rent their villa out when they are away.
