Discover a remarkable property in France steeped in history and surrounded by natural beauty. Originally belonging to the esteemed Lamoignon family, this Château has been cherished for generations since the 18th century. Set within a historical park spanning 45 hectares, designed by a student of Le Nôtre in the 17th century, this estate offers a truly enchanting experience.
Over the years, the gardens have undergone two redesigns, with the first occurring around 1820 for the Duke of Padua by Louis-Martin Berthault, followed by another in the 1860s by the talented brothers Denis and Eugène Bühler. The park has been meticulously restored by the current owners over the course of 40 years, preserving its historical and botanical significance.
The castle itself, classified as a historical monument in 1944 for its facades, roofs, and hydraulic installations, showcases architectural splendor. In 1992, the park, perspective path, facades, and roofs of the outbuildings, along with the chapel, were registered as well. Notably, the 45-hectare park has received the prestigious ”remarkable garden” label from the Ministry of Culture in 2004, recognizing its outstanding beauty and design.
As you enter through the gate, framed by two pavilions, a captivating path leads you to the main courtyard. The castle comprises a central building flanked by two wings, forming a square-shaped layout. The south wing features an elegant extension known as ”The small castle,” creating a charming and intimate courtyard. The northern part of the estate houses various outbuildings, stables, a water tower, a chapel, and two greenhouses, adding to the property’s allure.
To enhance the allure of the walled park, a magnificent pond spanning over one hectare graces the west side, adorned with decorative motifs. In 2022, after two centuries in the same family, the castle and its estate will be offered for sale, presenting a rare opportunity to own this piece of history.
Embrace the enchantment of this historical property, where timeless architecture meets picturesque landscapes, providing an extraordinary living experience surrounded by natural wonders.
